Welcome to Amherst Regional Pelham Schools SEPAC Page!

Our PAC is a volunteer organization of families of children with disabilities in the pre- and elementary schools, middle and high schools, and in private/ out-of-district placement schools. We are federally mandated to exist under Massachusetts Special Education Law and are charged with:

“advising the district on matters that pertain to the education and safety of students with disabilities; meeting regularly with school officials to participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the school district’s special education programs. The parent advisory council shall establish by-laws regarding officers and operational procedures, and, in the course of its duties, the parent advisory council shall receive assistance from the district without charge, upon reasonable notice, and subject to the availability of staff and resources” 603 CMR 28:07(4)

SEPAC strives to learn more about special education, and to effect change as our knowledge grows; our goal is to help improve our children’s education as technology, research, and tested  theories progress. We aim to provide support, information, and advocacy to families of children with disabilities.
